The Fishing Contest Rules
Previous guests, including this year's fishing season guests are eligible to apply. Contest participants must print and fill out this form and have it submitted to Polar Bear Outfitters no later than Dec. 15 2007. Contest form must be accompanied by three photos ( digitals preferred ) of a fishing trip with us at ones of our lakes. Submission must be sent between October 15 and Dec. 15. That's it, pretty straight forward. Draw will be held on Dec. 16th, just in time for Christmas again. Best of luck to all our previous guests.

This is Sarah (of Sarah and Chris)! We fished at Whaleshead July 8-12 and had a great time!! Can't thank you enough for the experience and hope to come back again next year.
I can sum up our trip like this:
Fishing trip for two: $1200
Water proof parka for inclement weather ... $70
Kicking your boyfriend's ass in a fishing and biggest fish contest ... priceless!

Other Fly-In Fishing Trip Contestants were hardy enough to get into i-fred Lake, off the Chappa Lake system, one angler proudly displays some of his walleye. This fisherman came out with enough fishing stories for the rest of his life.

That's three out of five groups this year that have made it all the way to the lake named after our Pike Fishing Expert and web site promotion specialist. The now legendary walleye honey hole requires some serious effort to make it all the way. You cannot mistaken the first big beaver pond to be the secret trophy pike and walleye lake. The journeys from Chappa Lake to pike and walleye fishing heaven ranged in time from as little as 45 minutes to as much as five hours.
So far, each group that amplified their James Bay frontier wilderness adventure by taking the chance with tricky beaver dam portages, some low water levels and narrow creek passages caught several hundred walleye and pike. That's twelve fishermen and fisherwomen each spending a week at the Chappa Lake - ifred Lake fishing trip. Trophy walleye and pike? You be the judge.
We still have a couple more angling parties going to try ifred Lake this season. So far though, the happy expeditioners reported catching about a dozen walleye over 30 inches and many pike in and over the 40 inch mark. We are still waiting for more photos, especially that crew from Windsor Ontario Canada, show us the ifred Lake monster pike!
New lake opening next year after a 30 year conservation rest. Any fishing parties interested in being one of the first groups in next year? Anybody at all; upgraded fully-equipped cabin and everything. We wonder if the lake will be dominated by the pike or the walleye? We are most curious to find out too.
